How can I get the AbleTrack utility software to program the middle switch ?

Send an email request for the link-just

When asked choose Save File. Double click on program icon to install.

The AbleTrack Utility software is optional and is only needed if you would like to pogrom the middle switch. Note that not all functions may be available in all programs or browsers.

To program the middle mouse button after installing the program:

1. Double left click on the trackball icon in the TaskBar (bottom of Desktop) and a graphic will pop up showing the 12 currently selected middle button functions.

2. Left click on the graphic/function you want to change and the MIDDLE BUTTON CONFIGURATION box will appear. Here you can program a number of different operations including opening a URL/web page or running a program.

3. When you are done press you can select Apply, OK or Cancel.

4. To perform one of the 12 available functions click on the middle button, move the trackball cursor over the desired function and release the button. To exit a persistent function like scrolling, click on the middle button again.

What is your warranty policy?

All products are guaranteed to be free from defects and are tested before being shipped.

If you are still having difficulties or have any questions please Contact Mabatech.

*If for any reason you are not satisfied with your AbleTrack Trackball you may return it within 30 days from date of purchase for a refund

Shipping and Handling charge is not refundable

Note: Item Return shipping to Mabatech for any reason is the responsibility of the purchaser or their representative and is not refundable.

Refunds on purchases made using credit card will be credited to that credit card only.

Limited Warranty

MAB Assistive Technology Warrants to the original purchaser/user that item(s) purchased will be free from defects in quality or workmanship for the listed Limited Warranty period following the purchase date. If your item is discovered to be defective within the limited warranty period, MAB Assistive Technologies will repair or replace the item(s) and ship the item(s) back at no charge to the original owner.

The AbleTrack is covered by a 1 year limited warranty

Lazy Susans and the PRT Tables have a 90 day limited warranty

30 Day Money back warranties are valid in the US 50 States only. Limited warranty and periods apply overseas.

To obtain warranty services please return the item(s) and a note explaining reason for return. If you purchased an item from a retailer please contact them for RMA information. Refunds on items purchased using a credit card will be credited to that credit card only. Items should be sent back with original product packaging. Items being returned are your responsibility until they are received by MAB Assistive Technologies.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights, which may vary from state to state. This warranty will be void if it is determined the defect is a result of misuse, modification, abuse, or excessive wear in which case only the Product will be returned to owner/End User. Consequential damage is not covered.

What is the shipping policy and cost?

To get your items to you safely, quickly and economically Mabatech uses UPS, FEDEX or USPS (Priority Mail) . Once your item is ready to be shipped we'll e-mail you an Adobe Acrobat PDF with the shipping information including the tracking or reference numbers.

Shipping cost may include a small handling fee depending on item size and destination. Be assured you will be provided with the total shipping costs so you will know how much everything will cost before you make your purchase.
Items normally ship within 72 hours after payment is completed. In the event of a delay you will be notified by e-mail of the expected shipping date. Please allow 5 business days for shipping in US.

What is the difference between the hand switches and the foot switches?

The only difference between the hand switches and the foot switches is that the foot switches have a stiffer spring. The switches can operate in any position, so for example if the user wanted to attach the switches to a flat vertical surface (such as a desk leg) they will still function.

Can I use a USB extension cable on the AbleTrack?

Yes. The maximum length of a USB cable is 16 feet (5.0 meters). Since the AbleTrack cable is 5 feet long an extension cable of up to 11 feet is ok.

This is because a longer cable may cause a delay or error in data transmission. The cable length is limited by a cable delay spec of 26 ns (nano seconds) to allow for reflections to settle at the transmitter before the next bit is sent Since a USB cable has a delay of about 5 ns per meter of cable then a cable of of up to 5 meters (26 ns/5ns) can be used.
If you must have a cable over 16 feet you could use a USB bridge that acts as a USB Hub device on one end and has a USB host controller at the other end. Some of these devices use fiber optics(USB Ranger 422) but any xfer device/protocal for long distance can be used within that devices capabilities eg satellite, fiber optic, IR etc...

Can I use switches from other companies with the AbleTrack?

Yes you can use any normally open switch with the AbleTrack. Note however that switches from a different company may have a smaller 2.5mm (3/32 inch) jack so an adapter with a 2.5mm female plug connector on one end and a 3.5 mm (1/8 inch) male jack connector on the other end may be needed. You can use either a mono or stereo adapter as either will work with the AbleTrack.
